Make-Up Days Scheduled Due to Weather

Date: Feb. 3 & Feb. 24

Due to last week’s weather-related closure, the university must hold two make-up class days in order to be assured that the spring semester meets the minimum number of required class days. The make-up days will be held on two Saturdays: February 3 and February 24 as to not interfere with the Mardi Gras or Spring Break holidays.

Course Scheduling Begins

Date: April 1
Time: 5 p.m.

Course scheduling for fall semester, summer intersession, and winter intersession begins.

Patrick F. Taylor Ribbon Cutting

Date: April 20
Location: Patrick F. Taylor Hall

There will be a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony for the newly renovated Patrick F. Taylor Hall.


Last Day to Drop Classes

Date: March 23
Time: 4:30 p.m.

Final date for dropping courses, 4:30 p.m. deadline. Final date for resigning from the university, 4:30 p.m. deadline. Final date to request rescheduling a final examination when three exams are scheduled in 24 hours.

Spring Break Holiday

Date: March 25-April 1

Students will be off for Spring Break the week of March 25. Classes will resume April 2 at 7:30 a.m.


Graduate Student Research Conference

Date: April 6, 2018

WISE Dinner & Style Show

Date: Feb. 27
Time: 6-9
Location: LSU Union Cotillion Ballroom

The Annual Women Impacting Style in Engineering Dinner and Style Show will take place on Feb. 27, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the LSU Student Union Cotillion Ballroom. There will be speakers from large engineering companies. Tickets are free and must be reserved. Visit the attached URL to get tickets.

LSU Discover Accepting Applications

Applications are open for LSU Discover Day 2018, the College of Engineering's annual undergraduate research and creativity symposium that will take place on April 10. Undergraduates from any post-secondary university or college, in-state or out of state, are welcome to apply. There are no application or registration fees. Applications are due Feb. 25.
